Why Not

I am a husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. I believe in sharing my talents and experiences by giving back to the community by giving my time to coaching, church and especially to the disability community. I truly believe that all men and women are created equally.

Setting the Record Straight

Thursday night,  my family and I had the honor of helping serve dinner to those less fortunate then us.  We were among a group of people from Cudahy who served at the Tippecanoe Presbyterian Church.

Contrary to somes public perception, none of those served tonight were intoxicated nor were they offensive in any way.

The words that I would use to describe these dozen or so men and women are:

Thankful, Polite and Gracious.

Everyone of these individuals appreciated the fact they they were treated with care, compassion and respect.  Each individual said thank you on multiple occasions.  Each individual cleaned up after themselves.  Each individual offered to help in any way after they were finished eating.

One older gentleman named Pat, taught my 3 kids how to play ping pong after dinner.  One of the regular volunteers remarked he couldn't tell who had a better time, the kids or Pat.

On the drive home everybody remarked how we were looking forward to making this a monthly family event.
