Cudahy Municipal Court

January 11, 2011

Good News for the Citizens of Cudahy

Many said it could not be done, but I am pleased to announce that the Cudahy municipal court backlog was eliminated in 8 months. Over the last decade, a backlog of approximately 3,500 cases were created by the former judge. Since I took office in May of 2010, it has been the court’s first priority to bring resolution to all of these cases. Not only have judgments been made on every case, but the backlog cases have been completely processed by sending disposition orders to all defendants. In addition to the disposition orders being sent, collection efforts have been fully processed including commitments and tax intercepts for those who have not made their payments. This backlog eliminated while maintaining the current caseload.

We could not have accomplished this without the steadfast diligence of the clerk of court with assistance from the chief of police and police personnel.

Thank you for letting us serve you.

John E. Dobogai III

Cudahy Municipal Judge
