Everyone is entitled to their opinion.  I am not sure why she doesn’t post the comments.  You are not the first one to point that out.  I don’t think she is blocking them, just not going in and approving them because the comment has some issue where it might think it is spam.


Don’t get me started on the word “Rights” and how there are different means and different levels of rights.


Okay, I guess I have to talk about it one last time.


A Right is a common privilege given to all citizens for example the right to vote, the right to property, the right to worship, the right to information, etc.


Freedom is when you have no constraints to conduction your actions – freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom to rebel, freedom to complain, etc.


The right to freedom of speech is not absolute in any country and the right is commonly subject to limitations, such as on "hate speech".


You don’t pay for a right and it is for ALL since it is a common privilege, but the payment for a privilege (union dues) means it is not common and not for all so it requires a benefit to be received.


Unions are also exempt from antitrust law in the hope that members may collectively fix a higher price for their labor.


Different levels of rights:


Substantive Rights (God given rights)

Constitutional Rights

Rights granted by laws


Let’s look at the right of way!


Right of way is a term first used to describe the right to travel unhindered, to access a route regardless of land ownership or any other legality.  The right of way may be limited.  If one person owns a piece of land which is bordered on all sides by lands owned by others, a court will be obliged to grant the right of way to those approved by the owner or owners of the isolated land area.  It is also common practice for the public to be granted the right of way on a path or track which is in common use for a lengthy period of time (see Easement).  Public right of way is not restricted by land ownership and grants travel access to all.


Collective bargaining:


Let’s try one more time –


Collective bargaining is not a "right".  Does it apply to all?  NO!!! 


So it doesn’t meet the “Right” meaning in the way those on the left and public sector workers want to make it out to be!


Once you start lifting up the rocks to see what’s under them, things aren’t so rosy.


I wonder why the same argument wasn't raised when Jimmy Carter eliminated collective bargaining for Federal employees in 1978.


How could the most humanitarian President, a President who cares about fairness and rights do that to people?


Collective bargaining is something negotiated on with your employer, but it does NOT appear anywhere in the Bill of Rights.  It was something granted by State Law and Collective bargaining for “Benefits” is not stated!


Plain and simple.  That is a fact!!!!  No disputing it which is why no one can show us where it states that.  Don’t be easily confused or directed to think one way.  Look for yourself.


No matter how someone wants to spin it or wish for it, it isn’t there!  Get over it and move on!


IT IS NOT A RIGHT.  So no one was "stripped of their rights" here, it was amended. A door once opened can open in both directions...


A right cannot be anything that imposes a burden on another citizen!


Therefore, public employees do not have the right to impose a tax burden on other citizens because of their so-called "right" to collective bargain for more pay and benefits. 


Private employees DO have a right to bargain with their employer because it's a private enterprise with a specific bottom line.  It isn’t costing the taxpayers for it!  Remember the taxpayers, the public purse.


The private sector firms can get other workers, move the company, or just close!


How can that be done in the public sector?  How does one move the DMV out of the hands of the state?


The way the left and public sectors’ workers are saying it, these people have a "right" to take money out of another citizen's pocket and give it to themselves.


Corporate tyranny has nothing to do with PUBLIC EMPLOYEES. 


They don't work for corporations instead they work for US taxpayers, the people!  In fact public sector workers don’t like it, but it is proper to call them, public sector servants!


The serve the interest of the public, not their own!


Remember the purpose for government is not to supply jobs, but to provide a service to the people.  Don’t reach into my pocket without asking.  My wallet isn’t your wallet.  Don’t confuse that fact.


The battle here is for collective bargaining against taxpayers, not corporations.


The members of unions have a natural right to associate with one another and that is backed up in the Bill of Rights, but the government doesn't have to sit down at the bargaining table with them if they don't want to.


The right to form a union is left up to state laws to decide and in Wisconsin you can.  And that right hasn’t changed.


Now I will concede that a liberal interpretation of the U.S. Constitution Bill of Rights would be, of the right of assembly makes unionizing a right and possibly collective bargaining.


However, for that to be true, the liberal interpretation of  U.S. Constitution Bill of Rights must include and has to be, if you have a right to assemble you also have a right to NOT assemble meaning that you have a right to not be forced into a union you do not wish to join as condition of employment.


Of course we are talking about the liberal mind so they are the classic do as I say, not as I do and left to themselves would reason that you can have one and don’t need the other.


Let's review and look at the whole process of Collective Bargaining here.


The narrative of unions is that they are needed to protect the workers from the evil greedy cigar smoking capitalist pigs bent on their exploitation of slaves workers.  All of this for the God almighty dollar!  (This all might have been true 50 to 100 years ago, but the common people do have laws and worker protections in place)


But who is the evil capitalist when talking about public sector unions?


Remember - We live in a Republic form of Democracy.


Those grateful government bureaucrats?


Well, they don't make the laws or red tape.  They just work within them as directed.


The government politicians?


Well, they do write the rules, laws, and ordnances but they represent the people. 


And here’s the rub.


Public sector unions organize against the taxpayers.


No way Randy, that isn’t the case!


Against whom do public sector unions organize?  It's the taxpayer, sorry to break it to you.


Case and point!


The process –


Remember it is mandatory to be in the union and pay union dues.  You cannot opt out and not pay!  Remember it really is about that money!  These unions then give over 90% to 95% of their political donations to the Democrats.


The public sector unions "negotiate" with the politicians mostly with Democrats or ex-teachers when talking about school districts.


The Democrats pass laws that favor the unions or the ex-teachers show favoritism for their friends and colleagues still working in the schools and for their own interest to protect the pensions of retirees (And yes some will remove themselves from the negotiations but they work with the remaining members to get what they want via proxy)


What is the point in trying to illuminate a closed, shuttered mind with only one agenda?  There is no discussion that can take place.


They negotiate or really let’s call it for what it really is, “gives” unsustainable benefit packages paid for by the taxpayer.  Many of these unsustainable benefit packages are not recognized until many years from the date they are given.  Out of sight, out of mind.


Sing a little bit of the O’Jays with me … “Money money money money ……. money!”


And the cycle keeps going!
