Tomorrow is the first of two Saturdays for the South Milwaukee Christmas Market at Caterpillar's Heritage Building and Museum, 1970 10th Avenue. Market hours for both tomorrow and Dec. 10 are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This Christmas Market offers two great opportunities.
One is to shop local and support the community's economy.
The other is it's a fantastic and convenient place to find unusual and one-of-a-kind gifts for special people and the difficult to buy for.
Fourth District Alderman Erik Brooks, who is a market founder and organizer, says the Market will feature more than 40 vendors, who will be selling arts, crafts, organics, baked goods and other prepared food.
My husband and I will be there with note cards featuring the unique art from the ChopArt collection of our son, Chapen.
These are a few of our 24 different cards.
We will also have starter plants from our gorgeous Black Shamrocks.
This is what Black Shamrock starter plants look like in just a few months.
Brooks says that live Christmas music from local performers who played at the summer markets is also planned.
We're hoping to see you there!
