The Way I See It!

I am an Ultra-Conservative, Alpha-Male, True Authentic Leader, Type "C" Personality, who is very active in my community; whether it is donating time, clothes or money for Project Concern or going to Common Council meetings and voicing my opinions. As a blogger, I intend to provide a different viewpoint "The way I see it!" on various world, national and local issues with a few helpful tips & tidbits sprinkled in.

Sick Of the Left's Fake Being Offended

Culture, Liberals

Let me start by saying that I think what Rush Limbaugh said was wrong that he could have gotten his point across without using words like he did or personally attacking.

I am just sick of the people on the left who pour out of the woodwork and claim they are so offended at things without being mindful of what their side has done.

I am sure you have heard about Rush Limbaugh calling a college student a "slut" and "prostitute" in the debate over contraception coverage.  The media has been playing it over and OVER.

If you are truly offended by something you don’t utter it again and again and again.  Plus if you are truly offended, you don’t rush (pun intended) to your blog and post up the video and audio or pictures that you claim offended you.

“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”

??? Eleanor Roosevelt

It is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to offend anyone- you choose to be offended!

Don’t believe me on it -

We lose the right of free speech if we don't uphold someone's right to offend in the written word or spoken word.

No one is forcing people to read or watch such apparently "offensive" articles, after all.

What people seem to forget is that in a system of free speech and democracy, you do not have the right to NOT be offended?

While I personally think what Rush said was wrong and glad he apologized for it, those on the left need to be mindful of what many on their side called Sarah Palin and to what lengths they went to destroy her and her family!  Or locally what the left has said about Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch!

“It is not fair to ask of others what you are not willing to do yourself.”

??? Eleanor Roosevelt

There are too many people making a drama out of being 'offended'.  So please get off this fake moral high ground and everyone should show some civility (I know that is asking a lot of the left)!

Is it me, or is being offended now an occupation for some people?

Liberals who can’t win arguments are determined to silence the other side.  They are increasingly using the tactic of pretending to be "offended" in order to demand that the conservative be muzzled.  Since liberals are adept at the pressure game and media executives are themselves liberals, the tactic often works.  This modus operandi is especially effective when the supposedly offensive remark has anything to do with race.

If you don't like it - then don't read it or watch it!  Lies are a different matter - but opinions are opinions - merely a case of sticks and stones…most people kick off and claim that they are offended - when really they should say that they just don't like it!  "Offended" is the politically correct term - it's a bit like crying racism when you don't like what people are saying or displaying.

I think all humans have the right to offend and nobody has the right not to be offended.  I strongly believe that too many people play the "I-am-offended - card" in order to keep things they find unpleasant out of their life.  You are offended, well deal with it.  It does not stop me from offending you.

People go to watch comedians, and they're allowed to be offensive.  People go to watch musicians who are allowed to be offensive in their lyrics (look up some rap lyrics if you don't believe me).

Everyone has the right to offend, or be offended for that matter.  Should or shouldn't isn't an issue.  Offensiveness is subjective anyway.  It’s okay to offend members of a legitimate political party (GOP), but it's not okay to offend a pop singer?  Who decides who we should or shouldn't be allowed to offend?

Oops, I've probably offended someone.  Oh look, the world is still turning.  Phew!

Certainly clumsy, embarrassing, unprincipled, and mean spirited things

do occur in our interactions with other people that would tempt us to take offense.

However, ultimately it is impossible for another person to offend you or to offend me.

Indeed, believing that another person offended us is fundamentally false.

To be offended is a choice we make; it is not a condition inflicted

or imposed upon us by someone or something else.
