FISA (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) Todays Important Debate in Senate+

FISA, Liberty, Kristan T. Harris, NSC, Wiretapping, Police State, Government, Politic,

It was an incredibly important day for internet privacy today as the senate debates on extending the FISA bill. If you are unaware of what the heck FISA is its basically using our tax dollars on wiretapping U. S. citizens. That’s right the land of the free. While we are 16 trillion dollars in debt.  "It is very important that judges sign warrants we shouldn’t allow the government to snoop into our personal life without judicial restraint” argues Kentucky Senator Rand Paul on Fox news. Judge Andrew Napolitano explains on Fox News “FBI Agents don’t go to the classic court but they authorize themselves to examine information not from you, but about you. Your banking records, your computer records, your telephone records, your legal records, your medical records, if you take all this together. (what the going to the FISA court and the FISA court is letting them get and what they are getting on their own). If whatever they obtain cannot be used in a prosecution against the target and the target will NEVER know". This data is stored in local FUSION CENTERS as reported by NBC and also in my blog yesterday (read here). In my opinion any senator that wants to protect the United States Constitution should vote against extending this bill as its obviously part of the" repeal 4th amendment act" aka the Patriot Act. In my opinion it is 100% un-American and 100% Un-patriotic as well. Rand Paul also brought up some shocking numbers on the senate floor. He reports that the government has looked into over 28,000,000 electronic documents last year and have used our tax money to read over 1,600,000 personal texts. (watch here). He then argues "now if you said to me that you asked a judge that you think these individuals are terrorists he says 'no problem' and then they give them a warrant and then they look through your messages. Do you want them trolling through your FACEBOOK? Do you want them trolling through your email? Do you want a government that is unrestrained by law? We can fight and preserve our freedom. We are who we are because of our individual freedoms and liberties if we give those up we are no better than those that we oppose." I encourage everyone to write your senator and tell them to vote down or they will not get your vote next election. For your local senator contact look here. You have to ask yourself why does this government need this program when there has not been 1 single terror attack in the last ten years. National Safety Council (NSC) Estimates, a report based on data from The National Center for Health Statistics and the U.S. Census Bureau. They reported you are 12 times more likely to die from accidental suffocation in bed than from a terrorist attack, you are eight times more likely to be killed by a police officer than by a terrorist . If you think “well I have nothing to hide” that’s not the point. The constitution is non-negotiable and the law of the land.  One way to help cut spending and downsize the government would be to write your local senator and let them know you will not vote for them if they vote for FISA. Why is it they need to see everything we do and "we the people" who are in charge and pay for these programs with our tax money get no transparency? It’s time to turn off the TV and fight for your liberty and freedom.

Give me liberty. Give me Freedom. Your local libertarian.

Kristan T. Harris.
