Olson won in 5 of Franklin’s 6 aldermanic districts.
Following the election, Olson released this statement:
“I offer my sincere thanks to the 46% of the voters who ‘showed up’ today and voted in the primary. I commit to you a forward looking campaign. Thank you for your support and confidence. I’ll spend the next six weeks talking with the great people of Franklin about my focus on their quality of life in our great city.
Olson’s reference to “showed up” came from an earlier Facebook post where he quoted Harry Truman: “Decisions are made by those who show up.”
The general election will be held April 1, 2014, Olson vs. Taylor.
