Time to take a break

Today I undergo much-needed hip surgery. The arthritis diagnosed eight years ago to be the size of a dime has gotten worse.

When you can’t get out of a chair, it’s time.

When you can’t get out of a car, it’s time.

When an 80-year old man jumps out of his park bench at Epcot to ask if you’re OK after seeing you attempt to walk, it’s time.

I’ve never so much as had a nosebleed. A few stitches here and there.

But I am confident in my surgeon, and hope to be blogging real soon, though it could be awhile and some regular features might have to wait.

I’ll write again as soon as I can.

As always, thanks for reading.
