Ms. Elaine Kneeous

Jennifer is a one in a million stay-at-home mom. (More like one OF a million stay at home moms!) She graduated from a liberal arts college but there is nothing liberal OR artsy about her. She is married to Kevin Fischer of This Just In, and together they have a beautiful young daughter Kyla Audrey. In no particular order she loves dogs, wine, a good bargain, her family, pizza, and entertaining. Follow her blog of all things miscellaneous including but not limited to cooking and baking, entertaining and party planning, being a mommy, and homekeeping.

We really, REALLY love eating at The Packing House!

But there are times, on a Friday evening, we just can’t make it.  Whether it’s Kevin's busy work schedule, or one of the three of us down with a “bug” there are instances when we aren’t able to enjoy a sit-down, delicious meal with leisurely cocktails and fabulous after-dinner entertainment from Jeff Stoll:

From a Facebook post on 4/10/14:  Please join the Wiken family & our staff in wishing musician Jeff Stoll a Happy 34th Anniversary of performing at The Packing House! Jeff's run of engagements dating back to 1980 marks the longest continual streak at a single venue by a Milwaukee musician.

As a family, we have celebrated milestones at The Packing House, and also said goodbye to beloved family members.  Kevin has hosted several sports banquets there.  It seems hard to believe that we started going there as a dating couple, and now our five-year-old daughter dances her little feet off to the incomparable sounds of Mr. Stoll’s keyboard & voice.

But again, sadly, there are times we just can’t manage an entire evening inside this fine establishment.  We can't stand the thought of missing out on their fabulous fish, delicious rye bread, and some of the best potato pancakes we've ever had.  What do we do then?  Fish Fry Drive Thru to the rescue!  There are Fridays I just don’t know how we’d manage without this awesome convenience.

If you’re still wondering what to do for dinner tonight, here is your answer.   “No muss, no fuss” as they say.
