We have high hopes of visiting Walt Disney World again this Christmas season. We started thinking about our “next trip” while we were still vacationing last year! Of the firm belief that you need to plan well to experience all the parks have to offer, we made mental notes of what we’d like to see again and what we had to miss due to time constraints.
We were down in early November about two weeks before Frozen opened in theaters. There was a bit of “buzz,” yet certainly nothing like the roar there is now over this mega-hit. We had plenty of character meet-and-greet occasions to wait in line for, but Princess Elsa and Princess Anna weren’t on tour at that point.
Then, during the Christmas 2013 season through early January, Anna & Elsa were chatting with Walt Disney World guests in EPCOT, at the Norway pavilion. Wanna meet the Ice Princess & her little sister? Great. Pull up a chair cuz you were looking at a FIVE HOUR wait. Seriously.
I can’t imagine waiting in line five hours for anything, even an incredibly popular duo of Disney princesses. Five minutes seems interminable when you’re tired, hungry, hot or a combination thereof. Fortunately the Disney execs finally came up with an, ahem, “better Mouse trap.” In just a few days, on April 20th, Anna and Elsa make their move from EPCOT to the Magic Kingdom. That’s right, no more Anna and Elsa in EPCOT. This information made me breathe a HUGE sigh of relief. The photos in this blog are fabulous… but fortunately we don’t have to worry now about following her advice.
As if that’s not enough to get your “princess fix” then stick around for the new Festival of Fantasy Parade, also in Magic Kingdom:
Gee, I wonder what Kyla would like to wear the day we meet them?
