Why Not

I am a husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. I believe in sharing my talents and experiences by giving back to the community by giving my time to coaching, church and especially to the disability community. I truly believe that all men and women are created equally.

Wisconsin Promise

Wisconsin is one of six States to be awarded a Promise Grant. The Promise initiative is designed to improve services for youth receiving SSI (Supplemental Security Income) and their families.

The goal of Wisconsin Promise is to help youth and their families meet school and work goals in order to better their income and financial stability thus reducing poverty.

If you know anybody that is between the ages of 14 and 16 and are receiving SSI benefits, please encourage them and the family to apply for this opportunity.  Participation in this program will not affect any benefits that you receive or other benefits that you may receive.

The most important thing to remember is that Promise Wisconsin is designed to assist the individual as well as the family.

I know some of the DVR Counselors that are going to focus on this program and there is a great deal of excitement about the possibilities that are going to be afforded individuals and their families.

Please pass along this information to your networks.  We need to get the word out.
