The state summer baseball tournament begins Tuesday with Franklin playing at home against Whitnall at 5:30. I’d get there early. Parking is going to be a problem.
This has been an uncharacteristically disappointing season for the Sabers. Should they advance against Whitnall they get to face sectional top-seed Greendale at Greendale Friday night. I believe I heard one of the NOW sportswriters say that Greendale had just one loss on the season and that was against Pius. Greendale also boasts a player who has a good chance of playing major league ball someday.
Best of luck to my friend Coach Jim Hughes and the Sabers!
