Steve Taylor wins Franklin recall election

That's an incredibly poor turnout. What do you expect the day after Labor Day.

I'll have more to say soon.

If people think this is good news for progress in the city of Franklin they're sadly mistaken.

The dynamics have changed here in Franklin. Janet Evans was up against those changes. Folks won’t listen to reason or common sense because they got caught up in a new Franklin ugliness the likes have never been seen before in our city’s politics.

I congratulate Janet Evans for the job she did in the short time she had it and for dealing with what she had to put up with.  I honestly think history will vindicate her.

I hope Janet Evans doesn’t lose the passion she has for our city that, with all its warts, is still something to be proud of.

And please, Janet, continue to help Mayor Olson, even without an aldermanic role, who needs our help now more than ever.
