The Way I See It!

I am an Ultra-Conservative, Alpha-Male, True Authentic Leader, Type "C" Personality, who is very active in my community; whether it is donating time, clothes or money for Project Concern or going to Common Council meetings and voicing my opinions. As a blogger, I intend to provide a different viewpoint "The way I see it!" on various world, national and local issues with a few helpful tips & tidbits sprinkled in.

Is this really what Cudahy is about?

I have been called a whale, fat, fatty, big, balloon, round and big ball by people in email or the public forum for my support of the Wal-Mart/Recall.  Did it make you feel better to call me names?  Does it make you look better in the eyes of whom you are looking at to impress?  Such a big person you are with name-calling.

Do I have a weight problem?  Yes.  I suffer from a metabolic disorder.  It doesn’t matter what I eat for my diet, I don’t break down the foods correctly.  I have a rare genetic form that affects my thyroid.  That’s funny isn’t it?

How about while growing up in the 70’s my family was on food stamps?  We were poor, if you knew me then, it was hard to know.  We kept it a secret.  I know the plights of the poor, because I was there.  People may laugh about saving a few cents on toilet paper, but to those that don’t have the means, it does matter.

Let us not forget about those on a fixed income.

Okay, how about I have a mild version of Autism and my son died three years ago?  Do you want to make fun of that now?  Just how low can the “No” crowd and the McCue supporters go?  Isn’t it funny to pick on people that are different?  I am sure my Autism has to be worth a laugh or two?  Don’t you think?  How about my son Ryan dying, I am sure you are just busting out laughing and cannot wait to type about it!

How about my daughter Ria?  She has a hole in her heart called VSD.  It is genetic, something she got from my mother’s mom.  That would be funny to write about!  She may need surgery to repair the hole when she gets older.  Fun and funny, right?

How about the fact I worked at K-Mart?  Home of the blue light special.  Funny right?  Just ask Mr. Smith.

People don’t forget I wear glasses.  You know, four eyes.  LOL

People this is the sad state Cudahy is in.  This is how some people handle someone speaking out when THEY don’t like it.

I am very qualified to know that Wal-Mart will help Cudahy.  It is not the single answer, but a step in the right direction.  I know how hard it is to pinch pennies.  I didn’t grow up in the fancy burbs.  People that grew up with money don’t know how it feels.  They can’t, unless they have lost it later or didn’t start with it.

Don’t get me started with taxes going up; McCue raised our taxes and that was without Cudahy Station.  He will find something else to spend taxes on.  Taxes will go up with or without Wal-Mart!

When people can’t win in debating on the issues, they resort to name-calling.  It makes me sad to think that is what Cudahy people want to keep about Cudahy.
