My doctor has told me that I have to lose some weight. I have tried many diets, but usually end up gaining more weight than I lose. I have an allergy to the acid in Vitamin C. Liquids with Vitamin C, tomatoes, lemons, pineapples, oranges, cranberries, tropical fruit and othe items are off limits to me. If I drink KoolAid, soda with lemon juice inside of it, jello with citrus fruit inside of it, dried oranges or pineapple, I get a very painful mouth. If I take larger amounts, I break out in hives. Many diets request that you eat a lot of fruit. This makes it very difficult for me to diet. Gravy is avoided because of its fat content. Reduced amounts of desserts are eaten. I eat very little bread or rolls. My weak spot is that I love to eat nuts and corn. If I eat any form of pepper, my stomach gives me trouble. My candy supply has greatly diminished. Slowly but surely, I am fighting a losing battle to reduce my weight. If you have any suggestions, I would be glad to hear them. As a cook at home, I get tempted every time I make a meal to indulge in the food. This also makes it harder on me. I do not drink any alcoholic beverages or smoke.
