Check out your barbeque supplies to see if your grilling equipment is clean and usable for this season of outdoor cooking. Scrape your grill and scrub it out. Clean your grilling tongs and forks. Make sure that you have enough propane gas or charcoal for your needs. Get rid of any old grease that is on your grill. Test your grill to be sure that it is in working order when you will need it. Do not have your grill close to children. They could easily be burned by it.
Go to Klement's Sauage Company Store at 2650 S. Chase Avenue. Purchase the amount and style of the sausages that you want to grill. Go to a grocery store to purchase fresh steaks or ground beef for grilling. Buy any buns and condiments (ketchup, mustard, relish, chopped onions, steak sauce, etc.) that you will use. Buy some paper plates or plastic plates and plastic knives, forks and spoons to use that you can dispose of afterwards. If you want potato salad, go to Country Maid, 1919 S. KK Avenue, for inexpensive salads to eat. Remember, potato salads can easily spoil in hot weather and cause food poisoning. You can roast potatoes on the grill. Also you can roast corn. Some vegetables can also be grilled. Chicken is very good on the grill. Fish are also.
The more that you plan ahead, the better the results of your outdoor cooking. Make this a family affair with all of your family doing a part of the meal. Relax and enjoy yourself afterwards. If you are at a park or lake, you might enjoy the scenery around you. If you are at home, no heat will be generated in your kitchen if you cook everything outdoors. From now until Fall, you will find many times to grill outside. Hug your family and smile. Enjoy life while you can. Please support the Bay View community.
