Mayor McCue Q & A on Sex Offender Public Hearing on Assembly Bill 759 and Senate Bill SB548 in Madison

Cudahy, McCue, Safety

Mayor McCue, could you explain why you were not in attendance for the Sex Offender Public Hearing on Assembly Bill AB759 and Senate Bill SB548 in Madison Thursday March 11, 2010?

I am sure you were aware of the hearing and its impact.

As Cudahy’s top official, I would have thought the gravity of importance to the safety of Cudahy and its citizens would have been the top priority for you!

Since you were not in attendance, can you explain what you were doing during that time that took precedence over the safety and welfare of the City of Cudahy and its people?

Mr. Hollenbeck,

I was planning on attending both the sex offender and regional transit authority public hearings, but two of my children got sick which created a conflict.  I did meet with our State Senator Jeff Plale and he shared with me that the proposed sex offender legislation was dead on arrival and had no chance of passing.  Representative Sinicki knows that I oppose this legislation too.
