The Way I See It!

I am an Ultra-Conservative, Alpha-Male, True Authentic Leader, Type "C" Personality, who is very active in my community; whether it is donating time, clothes or money for Project Concern or going to Common Council meetings and voicing my opinions. As a blogger, I intend to provide a different viewpoint "The way I see it!" on various world, national and local issues with a few helpful tips & tidbits sprinkled in.

The Sand Box

I have been asked to inform people of the rules to play in the “Sand Box” (this blog).  I cannot believe the amount of people talking off subject in comments.  I am just as guilty in doing it as I am in allowing it.

The sand box rules are dictated by My Community Now a division of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel terms of use policy.

Some have issues of what the “subject” is:  Well the subject is on the topic of the blog post I have posted.  If it is on laundry detergent, that is what the subject is and comments should be directed to the subject.

Several people have told me that they will start to push the abuse button if name-calling, off subject comments and just mean spirited comments continue.

I encourage anyone to hit the abuse button if they feel they have a reason to.

If you feel you cannot play nice in the sand box, you can take you buckets and shovels and play somewhere else.

Because you can lead a horse to water but you cannot make them drink, some people just don’t want to click on the terms of use link so here it is.

Terms of Use:

Play Nice.  Be courteous.  In a community full of opinions and preferences, people always disagree.  We encourage active discussions and welcome debate in our Discussion Forums.  However, we do not tolerate personal attacks, threats, verbal abuse, defamatory, obscene, hateful or slanderous language, or deliberate disruption of discussions with repetitive messages, meaningless messages, or "spam.”  You also are prohibited from using the Websites to engage in any illegal conduct.  Please contact our site/privacy administrators at if you have concerns about the conduct of other users on our Websites.  We reserve the right in our sole discretion to temporarily suspend or permanently block access by anyone to all or part of our Websites at any time.

No Thread Hijacking.  Thread hijacking – we don’t like it.  Thread hijacking – or taking a Discussion Forum thread unreasonably off topic by discussing something entirely unrelated to the discussion at hand, or submitting an unreasonable number of off-topic posts to a thread that does not contribute to the value of a discussion - is disrespectful to other discussion forum members and discourages members from participating in discussions.  So please don’t hijack threads.

We encourage you to tell us if you believe a member is hijacking a thread.  We will attempt to remind users perceived as engaging in thread hijacking to start a new thread for their discussion or, in our sole discretion, may temporarily suspend or permanently block access by such user to one or more of our forums.

This site uses Facebook comments to make it easier for you to contribute. If you see a comment you would like to flag for spam or abuse, click the "x" in the upper right of it. By posting, you agree to our Terms of Use.
