In my January 29th 2016 post titled “Let's Talk About The Cudahy Redevelopment District #2 Plan” I made note that during the Tuesday January 26, 2016 @ 5:30 P.M CDA meeting Mayor Glowaki did state that it was factual that Eminent Domain was used where South Side Auto used to be where the current Walgreens on E. Layton and Whitnall Ave. is now.

The CDA passed the Cudahy Redevelopment District #2 plan on a 6 to 1 with Bob Grams voting no.
Community Development Authority enters into Letter of Intent at 4849 South Packard Avenue for Coffee Shop Development
Judith Ebert of Cudahy would like to purchase and develop CDA-owned property at 4849 South Packard Avenue to put a Coffee Shop and put in an Interest to purchase with the CDA.

Over the years, Mayors and Common Councils in Cudahy have talked about getting a program to convert duplexes to single family dwellings and in the end no program.
At the CDA meeting we saw basic overall drafts of Development on Pennsylvania and Layton. Nothing was solid yet and no names attached.
Some people have claimed it was a shock that I was running for alderman. I have taken all of this with great thought and anyone that has been reading the blog since 2010 knew I would be running for Alderman in 2013 as I talked about it in many blog posts.
I am told that people get it, Cudahy has a development problem, and they know Mayor Day has done very little if anything to address it let alone fix it!
Okay people, Mayor Day is finally talking publicly about Packard Plaza! The constant pressures we have placed on him and Brian Biernat have got them interested in the situation there.
The Cudahy Wal-Mart battle showed exactly why Cudahy is/has been on a downslope – NIMBY

I want to state that I have received many emails asking, “Who are our CDA Members and how do I email them?”
Okay Cudahy residents I am just sick and tired of hearing that Cudahy development is “In the Hopper/In the Pipeline”. That statement has been the moniker of the McCue administration and is now the Day administration. I don’t SEE anything coming of it!
