Labor Day weekend is the unofficial end of summer and a time to honor all of our country’s workers and their contributions to the strength and well-being of our country.
So as a kid growing up in the 80’s my friends and family played the “Punch Bug” (Slug bug to some) game. Now a days in my family we do a “Tap and flick bug” or correctly put, we still call it Punch Buggy but instead of a punch we do a tap or flick.
It was a sad and somber Friday and Saturday going through the pictures of my aunt with my mom and dad for the funeral. We had some smiles and laughs at some of the pictures. We had many tears with most.
My family and I recently went to the Dells for a family vacation. Here are some of my thoughts of the trip that could be handy for others.
I know the right thing to do but it feels like the wrong thing. I asked the vet to check the results and they didn’t change. My heart hurts as the time ticks down and I see my family member and know tomorrow she will not be around. We have taken care of her for 18 years and in return she has given us so much love! Time does not heal the heart breaks and another cat will never take her place. She is special, she is loved. She looks fine but we know that is not true.
My cat Babez who had the stroke in January stopped eating and going to the litter box so we took her into the vet for tests.
Just like her sister Nala who passed on due to cancer, today we put to sleep Simba.
The NBC show Parenthood is one of my favorite shows and it is on tonight at 9pm. If you are not watching it, give it a chance!
