A video game controller, video game, duffle bag and mixed martial arts gear valued at $470 were taken from an apartment during a nonforced entry burglary in the 5000 block of South Nicholson Avenue on Sept. 6.


A car stereo valued at $500 was taken from a car parked behind Astro Tool & Die, 5201 S. Whitnall Ave., between Sept 2-6. A front passenger window on the vehicle sustained $150 in damage, while another vehicle received $150 damage to a side window, door handle and mirror.

A 44-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for theft from a locker at the YMCA, 3244 E. College Ave., which took place on Sept. 13. Taken in the theft was a wallet valued at $20, $30 in cash, credit cards and a set of car keys. Following an investigation by Cudahy police, the man was subsequently arrested at his residence on Sept. 19 after it was determined he made a number of fraudulent purchases using the theft victim's credit card at Dunhams, Pick 'n Save and CVS Pharmacy. A majority of the items purchased were recovered at the Oak Creek man's residence.

A cell phone valued at $100 and $70 in cash were taken from a locker at Bally's Total Fitness, 2525 E. Layton Ave., after a padlock was cut on Sept. 17.

Five hundred dollars cash was taken from a wallet in an apartment in the 5700 block of South Packard Avenue on Sept. 21.


A 17-year-old Cudahy boy was arrested for sexual assault of a 2-year-old girl after the victim, now age 5, told authorities in Ocala, Fla., of the assault, which is said to have taken place in Cudahy in 2007. The case is being reviewed by the sensitive crimes unit of the Milwaukee County District Attorney's office.


A 29-year-old Cudahy man was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 2700 block of East Adams Court during an alleged battery of his sister on Sept. 17.


A 67-year-old St. Francis woman was arrested for drunken driving after she rear-ended a car stopped at a red light at the intersection of Layton and Pennsylvania avenues on Sept. 10. The woman's blood alcohol content was 0.08.


A driver's side window sustained $175 damage when it was smashed on a car parked in the 5800 block of South New York Avenue on Aug. 31.


A 37-year old Greenfield man was arrested for disorderly conduct, as were a 34-year-old Greenfield man and a 34-year-old Greenfield woman following an altercation with a group of five other patrons at City Lounge, 3455 E. Layton Ave., on Sept. 3. The incident involved an altercation that moved outside the bar where the implied use of a handgun and a knife was used to threaten the group of people.

A 45-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for operating while impaired in the 4600 block of South Lake Drive after his vehicle was observed traveling at a low rate of speed southbound in the northbound lanes and almost striking several vehicles on Sept. 11. Police determined that the man was diabetic and had very low blood sugar at the time of the incident.

Cudahy police responded to one incident involving domestic violence.



More than $5,000 in 25 separate cash advance transactions were made with a credit card taken from an apartment in the 3400 block of South Illinois Avenue between March 1 and Sept. 22.



A Harley-Davidson motorcycle valued at $12,000 that was loaned from the 200 block of Menomonee Avenue on about Aug. 17 was not returned, and was subsequently involved in an accident on the freeway. The whereabouts of the motorcycle remain unknown.

A bicycle left outside Speedway, 2301 10th Ave., was taken on Sept. 18.

A bike valued at $300 was taken from a bike rack at South Milwaukee Middle School, 1001 15th Ave., on Sept. 22.


An unlocked car parked off the alley in the 400 block of Marion Avenue was deliberately set on fire from the interior between Sept. 13-14, resulting in $2,000 damage.

A car parked in the parking lot of South Milwaukee High School, 801 15th Ave., was scratched on Sept. 20, causing an estimated $1,500 damage.


Two 15-year-old female students were cited for disorderly conduct after they argued during the middle of class at South Milwaukee High School, 801 15th Ave., on Sept. 22.

South Milwaukee police responded to two incidents involving domestic violence.
