Police Report: April 15

Four catalytic converters were stolen from various vehicles in the parking lot of Southside Auto Mart, 5090 S. Pennsylvania Ave., sometime between 7 p.m. April 5 and 11 a.m. April 8. The converters were taken from large trucks and sports utility vehicles that were for sale and will cost $500 to replace.


A 35-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, first offense, after police stopped him in the 5300 block of South Swift Avenue for driving with suspended license plates around 2 a.m. April 6. The man had a blood alcohol content of 0.13.

A 38-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving, first offense, at around 2:30 a.m. April 7, after she was stopped in the 4400 block of South Packard Avenue for swerving across lanes. She registered a BAC of 0.12.

A 31-year-old Cudahy man was arrested for drunken driving during, first offense, a traffic stop in the 6100 block of South Packard Avenue at around 2 a.m. April 13, after he had been seen swerving into multiple lanes. He registered a BAC of 0.16.


Employees of Pulaski Park, 5400 S. Swift Ave., found a green slide in the playground smashed with damages of $1,000 at around 9 a.m. April 11. The damage was done sometime between April 5 and April 7.


A 25-year-old Cudahy man was cited for two counts of criminal damage to property after he admitted to using a baseball bat to smash windows on the cars of his ex-girlfriend and her mother at around 3 a.m. April 7. One car was parked in the 3100 block of East Grange Avenue, while the other, the damage to which was caught on security video, was parked in a lot in the 4500 block of South Nicholson Avenue.

A 25-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for disorderly conduct at St. Luke's South Shore Hospital, 5900 Lake Drive, for very loudly cursing at and threatening staff members after they told him he would have to stay at the hospital overnight for monitoring, around noon April 7. He came to the hospital six hours earlier because he overdosed on prescription drugs.

A 31-year-old Cudahy man was subdued with an electric stun gun and a police dog, and then arrested for disorderly conduct and two counts of resisting an officer just before midnight April 10 at his residence in the 5700 block of South Packard Avenue. The incident began while the man's ex-girlfriend was moving her belongings out of the apartment with her mother and father. The man fought with his ex-girlfriend and her father produced a gun to protect her. The father gave up the gun when police arrived and was not arrested.

A 38-year-old Cudahy man was arrested for battery and disorderly conduct at around 3 a.m. April 11 at his residence after he hit and threatened his wife who is nine-months pregnant and threatened to brandish his handgun against neighbors knocking on the door.

Police responded to six domestic violence incidents.

About $1,700 worth of tools were stolen from a residential garage in the 1400 block of Michigan Avenue, sometime between 9 p.m. April 10 and 7 a.m. April 11.


A 24-foot aluminum extension ladder and two aluminum ladder jacks were stolen from the yard of a residence in the 1600 block of Drexel Boulevard either during the evening of April 7 or the morning of April 8.

A 27-year-old South Milwaukee woman was arrested for shoplifting after she was seen putting items into her purse at Pick 'n Save, 2931 S. Chicago Ave., at around 11:30 a.m. April 8. The woman was stopped before leaving the store and all items were returned.

A license plate was stolen from a car parked in the 2400 block of Nicholson Avenue sometime during the evening of April 10.

The wheel covers were reported stolen off a vehicle while it was parked in the 100 block of North Chicago Avenue, around 4:30 p.m. April 11.

A 15-year-old South Milwaukee boy was arrested for theft while he was walking in the 1400 block of Missouri Avenue at around 8 p.m. April 11 after he admitted stealing a moped from a yard in the 1400 block of Marquette Avenue a few days earlier, damaging the ignition wires in the process. A blunt of marijuana was found on him when he was arrested.


A 33-year-old Cudahy man was arrested for drunken driving, first offense, on the corner of Chicago Avenue and Aspen Street at around 1:30 a.m. April 7. He had a BAC of 0.18.

A 52-year-old South Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving on the corner College Avenue and Southtowne Drive at around 11:30 p.m. April 7, after he had been pulled over for speeding. His BAC was 0.15.


A car window was reported smashed causing about $500 of damage at about 4 a.m. April 7, while the car was parked in the 500 block of Southtowne Drive.

The front door of a residence in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue was damaged sometime during the evening hours of April 9 and the early morning hours of April 10, and it will about $1,000 of repairs.

Police responded to eight domestic violence incidents.
