A 42-year-old Cudahy man rang doorbells in the 3700 block of East Plankinton Avenue, the 3700 block of East Layton Avenue and the 4600 block of South Swift Avenue just before midnight April 16, telling the residents he had been injured and robbed and needed help. However, each time, he ran off when the residents called the police to seek assistance. Officers found him in the 3700 block of East Plankinton Avenue. He said he had fled officers because he believed he was wanted on a warrant, which he was not. He reported that an acquaintance had stolen $13 from him and cut his hand during a struggle. He was not sure what type of object may have cut his hand.
A father and his teen son were robbed as they walked in the 4800 block of South Kirkwood Avenue just after midnight April 19. Two people jumped out of the bushes, and one pushed the son against a tree and took his cellphone and wallet from his pockets.
Two video game systems, $100 and a smartphone were taken from a home in the 3800 block of East Underwood Avenue before noon March 25. Loss is estimated at $1,300.
Someone attempted to enter a vacant office space, formerly occupied by Affordable Heating and Air Conditioning, at 4601 S. Kinnickinnic Ave. between April 13 and 16. The building's owner found a window had been opened and there was evidence of an attempt to force open a door.
A laptop computer was taken from Get It Now, 5656 S. Packard Ave., about 1:30 a.m. April 16. A window was smashed to gain entry. Loss is estimated at $800 and damage at $500.
A boys BMX bicycle was taken from a yard in the 5900 block of South Pennsylvania Avenue either March 29 or 30. Loss is estimated at $70.
A 2005 Pontiac was taken from the 3600 block of East Squire Avenue before 9:40 a.m. April 6.
A GPS unit, messenger bag and electronic tablet were taken from a car at Bally's between noon and 1 p.m. April 14. Loss is estimated at $480. A window was damaged in the effort to gain entry. Damage is estimated at $200.
A purse containing a smartphone, wallet, $40, a bank card and a digital camera was taken from a car in the Bally's parking lot, 2525 E. Layton Ave., about 1 p.m. April 14. Loss is estimated at $500. A wing window was smashed to gain entry. Damage is estimated at $200.
Four car doors and a ladder were taken from cars at Fine Auto Sales, 5117 S. Packard Ave., at 4:30 p.m. April 14. Loss is estimated at $900.
A 65-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for theft and vandalism at Pennsylvania and Howard avenues in St. Francis after he was seen using a vice grips to remove the front grill from a Cadillac at Churchill Limosine, 4740 S. Pennsylvania Ave., about 10:25 a.m. April 15.
A laptop computer and a wallet containing $60 and credit cards were taken from a vehicle in the 3900 block of East Van Norman Avenue before 6:36 a.m. April 16. Loss is estimated at $1,120. A window was broken in the entry attempt. Damage is estimated at $300.
A 41-year-old Cudahy man was arrested for substantial battery after a fight in the 3800 block of East Holmes Avenue about 5:51 p.m. April 20.
A 17-year-old Oak Creek boy was cited for truancy and marijuana possession at Cudahy High School, 4950 S. Lake Drive, about 8 a.m. April 5. A 17-year-old Milwaukee boy was cited for obstructing an investigation and truancy. An officer saw the boys outside the school smoking and making no attempt to get to school on time. When questioned, the Milwaukee boy lied about his age and was belligerent with the officer. The Oak Creek boy was found to have a pill bottle containing marijuana in his backpack.
An 18-year-old Cudahy man was cited with fourth offense underage possession of alcohol, a 17-year-old Cudahy boy was cited with marijuana possession and fourth offense underage drinking, an 18-year-old Cudahy man was cited with fourth offense underage drinking and a 17-year-old West Allis girl was cited with an underage alcohol violation after a drinking party was reported in the 3700 block of East Barnard Avenue about 6:30 p.m. April 14.
A 22-year-old West Allis woman was arrested for drunken driving in the 5100 block of South Pennsylvania Avenue just before 1 a.m. April 18. Her blood alcohol content was 0.14.
A 37-year-old Racine man was arrested for drunken driving, third offense, in the 5300 block of South Nicholson Avenue about 5:40 p.m. April 20. He had been pulled over for speeding. His BAC was 0.23.
Graffiti was scribbled on play equipment at Gen. Mitchell School, 5950 S. Illinois Ave., between April 6 and April 13.
A 30-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for vandalism and disorderly conduct at a Laundromat in the 2900 block of East Grange Avenue about 6 p.m. April 16 after he threw a rock at someone's windshield at Gen. Mitchell Elementary School and fled. Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $600.
A 32-year-old Cudahy man, 20-year-old Cudahy woman, 50-year-old Cudahy woman and 49-year-old Cudahy man were cited for disorderly conduct in the 3900 block of East Barnard Avenue about 6:10 a.m. March 31 after a neighbor reported they were being so loud she couldn't sleep.
A 23-year-old Cudahy man and a 20-year-old Cudahy woman were cited for disorderly conduct for pounding on a neighbor's apartment wall so hard that a picture fell down in the 2800 block of East Edgerton Avenue about 10:51 a.m. April 14.
A 16-year-old South Milwaukee girl, a 16-year-old Oak Creek girl and a 17-year-old South Milwaukee girl were cited for disorderly conduct in the 3000 block of East Ramsey Avenue about 10:18 p.m. April 14. The three met up at Cudahy Park to fight. No serious injuries were reported.
A 41-year-old South Milwaukee man was arrested for lewd and lascivious behavior in the 5500 block of O'Brien Avenue about 8 p.m. April 15. Neighbors had complained that a nude man was running in the street. When officers found the man, he was intoxicated and sitting at a picnic table wearing only socks and shoes. He told officers a friend had bet him $20 and a beer he wouldn't run naked down the street. His BAC was 0.36 and he was taken to St. Luke South Shore before being taken to the police department.
The residents of a home in the 3400 block of East Cudahy Avenue were evacuated at 11:34 a.m. April 9 due to a fire. The home suffered $30,000 in damage and is uninhabitable until significant repairs are made.
A 16-year-old West Allis boy was cited for retail theft, possession of alcohol by a minor, possession of an ignition device, carrying a concealed weapon, obstructing an officer and marijuana possession at Pick 'n Save, 4698 S. Whitnall Ave., about 2:30 p.m. April 14. Store security noticed the boy in the liquor department, carrying a backpack and wearing pink slippers. He attempted to steal a bottle of gin by hiding it in the backpack. He gave officers false information about how to contact his mom.
A purse, digital media player, driver's license and credit cards were taken from a car parked in the 4600 block of South Ahmedi Avenue before 8 a.m. April 16. A second vehicle at the residence had been rummaged through, but nothing was taken from it. Loss is estimated at $104.
A 48-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for retail theft, second offense, at Pick 'n Save, 4698 S. Whitnall Ave., about 10 a.m. April 16 for attempting to steal $76 worth of meat products.
A 29-year-old Cudahy woman was arrested for retail theft, third offense, at Pick 'n Save, 4698 S. Whitnall Ave., about 7:15 p.m. April 20 for attempting to steal a $20 bottle of whiskey. She also was arrested on a Franklin Police Department warrant.
A 51-year-old Cudahy man was arrested for drunken driving in Cudahy after he struck a parked car at Kinnickinnic and St. Francis avenues and drove off about 10 p.m. April 18. His BAC was 0.12.
A 43-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving in the 2500 block of East Howard Avenue about 9:30 p.m. April 20. Her BAC was 0.30.
A video game system was taken and a television damaged in the 2400 block of 10th Avenue before 5:48 a.m. April 13. Loss and damage together are estimated at $1,000.
