Green Internet Startup Moving to Glendale

Boulder, CO - March 24, 2011 – Sustainable Supply Company, a leading provider of green building products and maintenance supplies, has announced that they will be relocating their corporate headquarters to Glendale, WI. The company will move into their new office in the Regus Center at Bayshore by April 15th and has immediate plans to expand their staff as they are experiencing rapid growth.

The two-year old internet startup’s website, SustainableSupply.com, has quickly become a top online destination for commercial products that reduce environmental impact. The company reported sales growth of over 750% in 2010 and has forecasted over 100% growth for 2011. Their website is currently being redesigned for a cleaner look, enhanced search capabilities, and a new backend framework to help with future enhancements.

Swift product expansion has been a major factor in the company’s early success, and they will continue with this trend by adding 250,000 MRO products to their site by August. “What we’ve learned very quickly is that eco-focused customers who are purchasing green products from us also require everyday products that help them run their businesses,” says Chief Operating Officer, Brian Fricano. “For example, we currently offer low flow toilets however we don’t offer the braided hose, wax rings, or tools needed for installation. We obviously want to capture this additional business, but we also believe that we can deliver these products in the most sustainable way compared to our competitors in the industry,” adds Fricano.

By implementing a carbon free shipping program this summer, Sustainable Supply will soon be offsetting the carbon emissions of all of their ground shipments. “As we expand our product portfolio to include tools, hardware, and safety supplies it’s important for us not to sacrifice our core principals of sustainability. Our partnership with Green Shipping will enable us to offer regular MRO products to our customers while meeting our goals of carbon footprint reduction,” continued Fricano. Customers will be able to track the carbon emissions of their shipments on SustainableSupply.com and will have a record of the offset purchased. This program will be offered at charge for all domestic shipments.

Sustainable Supply expects to fit nicely within the growing Milwaukee community of water conservation companies and green organizations. They’ve already partnered with the Urban Ecology Center to help them improve their green cleaning program and minimize waste in their restrooms. With a LEED AP and Certified Green Consultant on staff, the company plans to help other local businesses, schools, and organizations green their operations.
